Everyone knows the rhyme “Mary Had A Little Lamb,” right? In the rhyme Mary had a lamb that follows her everywhere the lamb follows her to school. At school the lamb distracts everyone from learning. I think that students should not be allowed to bring their pets to school. Why? I think that because pets would distract the students from learning, eat up important papers. If certain animals are in the same room they can attack and some people are allergic to certain animals. One reason that students should not be allowed to bring pets to school because animals will distract students from learning. School is for learning, right? What’s the point school if we can’t learn? Teachers will have hard time teaching if students are constantly playing around with their pets. My second reason that students should not be allowed to bring their pets to school is that pets can eat up important papers. Dogs can eat up textbooks or notebooks. The school won’t be able to afford buying all those books for all the students every time the students complain,”The dog ate my textbook.” My third reason that students should not be allowed to bring their pets to school is if certain animals are in the same room they can attack. For example cats can attack birds, fish and mice. This would result to a loss of a pet and no one wants that. The victim might be seriously injured or even dead. The owner would be very depressed to the death of his/her pet. My fourth reason that students should not be able to bring their pets to school is that some people are allergic to certain pets. Now you might be thinking that they could just go to the doctor and get a allergie shot but some people don’t have time to go to the doctor to get a shot. In conclusion students should not be able to bring their pets because pets would distract the students from learning, eat up important papers, if certain animals are in the same room they can attack and some people are allergic to certain animals, but schools could set aside a day where students can bring their pets to school and teach their peers about that animal. Pets are great for home but they aren’t great for school.. Which is Smarter Cats Or Dogs Lots of people think that dogs are smarter than cat or cats are smarter than dogs. Some people assume that dogs are smarter than cats because their brains are larger. But brain size does not predict intelligence like for example men's brains are bigger than women's but it does not mean their smarter. But having a tiny brains does matter like a tiny bird named Alex who has spoken a vocabulary of more than a hundred words even though studies show that among 4 legged animals brain does not seem to make a difference. A fact is that dogs brains are actually continually growing and expanding were cats brains remained unchanged since 8,000 years ago. Dogs are more social than cats and that's true, but people say that dogs are more social because their brains are bigger and if you call a dog they will come but if you call a cat it will take a message and get back to you. Cats- Cats might not be as social as dogs but are pretty clever cats do different things and but even sometimes they're a little crazy. You might not believe it but cats are pretty good companions and extremely loveable. Dogs- even love dogs there cute lovable and playful what's not to love. But sometimes the can even be a pain because you have to walk them outside in every weather condition and have to pick up their business. Chocolate milk must stay in school! “In 58 schools that removed or limited flavored milk options, milk consumption dropped a dramatic 35%, on average,” says reliable source, Chocolate: A Tasty Nutrition. For those of you who say no to chocolate milk because of its sugar and calorie value, think about this: chocolate milk has the same nutritional value as plain, white milk. Milk, in general, has many high health benefits, and if we can’t get children to have these benefits with plain milk, then let’s get children to have these benefits with good old chocolate milk. Overall, you need milk. Milk has the same nutritional value as 1/2 cup of diced cantaloupe, 3 1/2 ounces of apple with skin and 1/2 cup of cooked baked beans. That sounds healthier, but the truth? That is 171 calories more than just drinking chocolate milk. Milk has many important things many children are missing out on. Answer this -is it better to have important nutrients with a bit of added sugar, or is it better to have no nutrients at all? The answer is obvious. So why not choose chocolate milk? Chocolate milk makes you gain weight, right? Or does it? The American Heart Association says, “when sugars are added to otherwise nutrient-rich foods, such as sugar-sweetened dairy products like flavored milk and yogurt…the quality of children’s and adolescents’ diets improves, and in the case of flavored milk, no adverse effects on weight status were found.” Most nutritional experts say that the sugar vs. the milk in chocolate milk is a fair trade, so most likely, you won’t gain all that weight you think you will. Oh, but chocolate milk has so much sugar, you say. Well, not necessarily. Chocolate milk only makes up less than 2% in most American teenagers diets. What you really need to look out for is juice and sodas, which make up more than 50% of American teenagers diets. So, does chocolate milk really have the calories some people say? Probably not. Chocolate milk is on our side, and we have to see that. Chocolate milk is a good thing for us. What else can we resort to? Chocolate milk is a healthy, nutrient high beverage, and that’s the plain truth. |
